Value in,
reward out.
In EMPIRES, you earn rewards by adding value to a multi-layered economy, one that sustainably generates revenue by serving the demands of players from CITADELS.
Multi-Layered EconomyAn idle MMO and corporate strategy game inside the Ashes of Mankind universe. You are a Freelancer, technically free, practically owned by The Consortium. The Consortium leases the land, emits the order permits, taxes what you produce.
Your job is to carve a piece out of that system.
“We do not promise equality. We deliver order.
We do not offer democracy. We provide prosperity.”
Posted at every Deployment Bay on Ortus
EMPIRES is where the economy gets made. CITADELS is where the economy gets consumed. Manufactured by a Corporation on Ortus, sold to a Revenant who needs it on Floor 14 tonight.
Both running asynchronously · whether you are logged in or not
Interactive · The Operator's Ascent See how the loop actually compounds, stage by stage. Walk all six: Exploration, Mining, Refining, Assembly, Trading, Corporations, and the choice at every rung: work the asset, or own it. In EMPIRES, you earn rewards by adding value to a multi-layered economy, one that sustainably generates revenue by serving the demands of players from CITADELS.
Multi-Layered EconomyCITADELS boasts a near-unrivalled level of cosmetic customisability, an enticing opportunity for EMPIRES players who produce in-game items to earn a share in the revenue potential.
Revenue Share · CosmeticsFor gaming guilds and eSports teams, the Corporation path offers a uniquely cooperative experience, a platform to promote your brand through community engagement or the production of branded in-game assets.
Guilds · eSportsA Freelancer is whatever they decide to be. Run a single bay and check in once a day. Or stack every layer until you're voting on acquisitions.
Buy a Deployment Bay, drop in an Autonomous Extraction Vehicle, let Unbiquadium accumulate while you sleep. Five minutes a day is enough. The chassis the entire game is built on.

The AEV is the chassis on which Empires are built. The AXV is the chassis that breaks the rules, whatever you bolt on, it becomes. Modules decide that.
The chassis on which a thousand small fortunes have been built. Modest yield, trivial maintenance, forgives the inexperienced. Issued to every Freelancer who walks out of the Registry with ink still drying on their charter.
Heavier frame, larger hopper, an honest set of arms on it. Where the MK I asks polite questions of the soil, the MK II makes assertions. Standard issue for second-tier Bays once the lease compounds.
Treaded, armored, geared for veins the surveyors flagged as deep. First mark with serious multi-resource intake, Aurelium becomes a realistic line on the ledger. The chassis where most Corporations find their footing.
The vehicle a Corporation pays to be seen with. Heavy hauler, deep-vein optimized, with diagnostic uplink to the Forge so what it pulls is logged the instant it surfaces. Approved for Tier-Gold land.
Flagship line. Crewless. Order Permit-locked. The kind of machine that retires its Bay in eighteen months and pays a dividend in twenty-four. There are not many. The Consortium prefers it that way.
Not an Extraction Vehicle. An eXploration one. The AXV doesn't queue at a Deployment Bay, it goes where nothing has been surveyed and comes back with answers the Consortium hasn't priced yet. Module-driven, high-risk, order permitly overpowered.

Modules are crafted at the Forge against an Order Permit, and bolt onto far more than engines, a drill for a mine, a hauler module for an AEV, an engine for an AXV. Each asset class takes its own. These two are the apex engine order permits: Beowulf burns long and quiet, for Researchers who want their AXV back, and Prometheus is the order permit the Consortium could not unmake.
Cooperation inside the Corporation. Conflict between Corporations. Both running simultaneously, asynchronously, whether anyone is logged in or not.
A multi-signature entity with a treasury, governance, and a dividend schedule. The Forge → Order Permit pipeline is structurally a guild revenue stream.
Recruit and admit shareholders. Public charter or invitation. Cap table is on-chain, no one shows up later claiming they were always promised something.
Vote on acquisitions and dissolutions. Multi-sig is the floor. Quorum and weights are tunable. Every motion has a hash.
Pay dividends, on schedule. $ASH, Unbiquadium, CITADELS Credits, Aurelium. Distributions execute the moment quorum lands.
Or join one and skip the admin. Most Freelancers do. The work pays whether your name is on the charter or further down the list.
We've watched too many project tokens bleed out for eighteen months while a team kept emitting more. Running the entire economy on-chain isn't a marketing line, it's an admission. We don't get to peek at the rules either.
Every consequential action, every land prospecting outcome, every research discovery, every dividend, every vote, is settled on a public ledger. Auditable by anyone who cares to.
Your Corporation's private intelligence, yields, research in flight, vault reserves, is hidden without trusting a centralised server. Competitors can't peek. We can't either.
Kinesis-issued tokenised gold and silver sit alongside the native resources. Part of what flows through is backed by physical metal, externally priced, not a number we made up.
CITADELS is the AAA tactical extraction FPS the rest of the economy feeds. A 330,000m² indoor warzone in the Citadel above Ortus, run by a rogue AI called GRIM. Three-player squads. Modular weapons. Real consequences.
Every rifle a Revenant carries up there was forged here. Your Forge. Your Order Permit. Your dividend notification when they survive, or when they need a new one tomorrow.
Free play always opens a Bay, these don't replace that. They fund the operators who'd rather not start from zero, and grant standing in the Citadel above. Released in three waves; the early allotment is the scarce one, and it does not return.
Every Charter opened before EMPIRES launches is marked a founder's, and carries this allotment on top of whatever pack it rides in on. The window does not reopen, and the title is one you cannot earn later.
A bay, a charter, and enough float to outlast your first lease. Where most operators begin.
Working capital for an operator who intends to compound. Enough to scale past a single bay.
The provisioning a Corporation arrives with. Deep float, premium standing, priority at the Forge.
Standing in both halves of the economy, plus Alpha 1 ingress to the Citadel above Ortus.
The earliest door into CITADELS. Alpha 0, Floor access before it opens to anyone else.
A seat at the table. VIP standing across the entire Ashes of Mankind economy.
A sealed crate of livery, finishes, and plate. What surfaces is the Consortium's choice, not yours.
Sealed modules and order permits, drawn at random. The same dice you roll, we roll.
